Nicholas Repp
Mathematics (6-12) - Secondary Ed
Eastern Michigan University

My name is Nicholas Repp and I was born and raised in Woodhaven, Michigan. I was born into a family with many educators and it has been my lifelong goal to become a math teacher as well. Throughout my time as a student in Woodhaven, I learned early on that not all students learn the same way and while math came naturally to me, it was not always the case with my friends and classmates. I enjoyed helping my friends look at problems a different way and discovered that I had a talent for recreating a problem in a way that might make more sense for different learners.

After high school, I chose to attend Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti to obtain my teaching degree. At Eastern Michigan, I double-majored in Mathematics and Teaching and Learning where I will earn a Bachelor of Science degree in April of 2024.  Additionally, I have completed thirteen credits  in Chemistry and plan to pursue my certification to teach High School Chemistry when I begin my Master's program.

My professional student teaching experience was with two experienced teachers at Riverview High School in Riverview, Michigan, where I focused on Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics.  Prior to that, I completed my pre-student teaching in Geometry and Pre-Calculus at Anderson High School in Southgate, Michigan with another veteran teacher.  I have additional experience through Eastern Michigan University's ECA program which allowed me the opportunity to work with Early College High School students directly on campus each week. Through these experiences, I have grown to appreciate the position with even more respect and look forward to working with other teachers to improve my teaching skills.
